Spring Newsletter 2019
Happy spring students and families!
Don't forget to spring ahead one hour for Daylight Savings Time on March 10th. We have begun Term 3 and the students are remembering to use the C.A.R.E.S. motto in all they do. We are moving into multiplying and dividing decimals in March, and then we focus on volume, measurement, and geometry. In Science, we are learning about composting, and then moving into plants and how they give energy to the food webs. In Writing Workshop we will be learning about how to write narrative pieces and how to revise and edit them. In Reading Workshop we will continue learning about text structures, inferencing, and using multiple sources to provide evidence. In Social Studies we will continue learning about the events leading up to the American Revolution, the war, and the founding fathers establishing our democracy.
We continue utilizing the Responsive Classroom to model and provide classroom management; Morning Meeting has been a productive time to communicate and collaborate.
